Well, It's quite simple really. One day in 1969, a rumour went around that Paul McCartney had died in a car crash on November 9, 1966. The clues of his death were supposedly hidden in lyrics and album covers. But when you look at it, most of them are very far-fetched. Oooh, Paul McCartney is barefoot on the Abbey Road Cover; must mean he's dead....know what I mean? Admittedly, there are a few clues which do make you think, and are pretty freaky, but if anything, The Beatles planned the whole thing as a way to sell records so that Apple wouldn't go bankrupt!! Anyway, of course Paul is alive. Live with it, but hey, if you wanna see a list of clues, there's a great page on it...
